'Those who call themselves ZA! release a new album on May 11th 2018. It is called PACHINKO PLEX and it means a radical change since the album has a totally new sound: in its eagerness not to repeat themselves and to experiment with different elements, the band breaks free of the guitar and the amps to focus on electronic textures, synthesizers, randomized loops through the computer and drums processed live through triggers. The result generates an equally forceful and polyrhythmic style, but unclassifiable, very influenced by his tours in Japan and Mozambique.

Gracias a la colaboración de varios sellos internacionales y orquestado por el sello propio de Za!, Gandula, Keroxen ha podido editar por fin algo de material de lo que es su banda predilecta, pues el número de veces que la banda ha actuado en el festival así lo avala. Pachinko Plex es el quinto disco de Za! y supone un radical giro en su trayectoria. La guitarra y los amplificadores se aparcan para centrarse en texturas electrónicas, sintetizadores y loops randomizados mezclados con poliritmos y baterías procesadas en directo dando lugar a una contundente e inclasificable mezcla con psicodelia, hardcore, free jazz, ritmos africanos y melodías de video juegos japoneses como sus ingredientes principales.

Always innovative and unclassifiable in their compositions and explosive and technically perfect in their live acts which are pure energy. Thanks to the collaboration between different international labels and orchestrated by Za!’s own label, Gandula, Keroxen has finally come to release something from a band that has been present in Keroxen events almost every single year since the very beginning. Pachinko Plex is Za!’s fifth album and another twist in sound in their career. The guitar is replaced by the synths, randomized loops and sound textures which in conjunction with processed and polyrhythmic drums create a powerful and unique blend of psychedelia, hardcore, free jazz, African rhythms and vintage Japanese video games music.
